CANYON COUNTY SHERIFF
April 22, 2005
Thank you for allowing us a nomination for the annual "Optimist Officer of
the Year."
I take great pleasure in nominating Sergeant Marv Dashiell for this honor.
Sergeant Dashiell has been with the Canyon County Sheriff's Office for nearly
15 years. He is a Patrol Division supervisor with additional duties including
the Clandestine Lab Response Team and Traffic Accident Reconstructionist. He
also acted as the Interim Patrol Division Commander.
Marv is a very successful supervisor, earning the respect of not only his
team, but others throughout the law enforcement community. He is a top
performer who sets a positive example with his leadership and his statistics
on investigations and arrests.
Sgt. Dashiell is a very loyal and dependable member of the Sheriff's Office
who can always be counted on. For these reasons and more, I hope you will
consider our nomination of Sergeant Marv Dashiell for Optimist Officer of the
Year.
Sincerely,
Chris Smith, Canyon County Sheriff
Gary Deulen, Chief Deputy
