Punt, pass and Kick

NAMPA -- The Nampa Optimist Youth Football organization will host the NFL Gatorade Punt, Pass & Kick competition on June 7 at Lakeview Park in Nampa.      The Boise Stallions will have a clinic at 5 p.m. before the 5:30 p.m. competition starts. This event is sanctioned for boys and girls ages 8-15, with age determined as of Dec. 31, 2001.
     Local winners will have an opportunity to advance to the Sectional competition at a Seattle Seahawks game. There is no cost, but a valid birth certificate is required for proof of age, Soft sole gym shoes are required, no football cleats or shoes are allowed.
     The Outback Steak House will sponsor a fundraiser steak feed to raise money for the football program and new football park. Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for kids 12 and under. The Corvairs will provide live music. For more information call Ken Wilson at 880-1099 or Dean Shafer at 466-6100.
