NAMPA -- The Optimist Youth Football league would like to thank those who
helped make its inaugural season a success. Among those are the students from
the Centennial Job Corps who came out and helped with the fields on game
days. The Job Corps students performed a service to the community and were
very supportive in providing manpower that was necessary to help ensure the
games, and activities surrounding the games, ran smoothly. The Founder's Club provided different levels of financial support. Each of the 11 teams also had a team sponsor. |
The Nampa Optimist Youth Football program will sponsor another Punt, Pass and
Kick contest at Lakeview Park. There is a dinner sponsored by The Outback
Steak House, live music by the Corvairs and more. This year it is planned for
June 7 and tickets will be presold. Registration for Nampa Optimist Youth Football will be first come, first serve. It is planned for May 10, 12 and 15. Anyone interested in getting involved with the cheerleader program as a cheerleader mom or sponsor, contact Lynette Gaschler at 465-6621. More than 240 kids participated and they gope to double that this year. For more information contact Ken Wilson 880-1099 or Kenny Wroten 371-7387. |
